It’s the beginning of August which means a few things in my house:
1. I’m headed back to work next week.
2. Kids go back to school, dance, and hopefully a semi normal sleep schedule.
3. Our vacation is officially this month!
With that being said, I’m going to slim down our grocery budget as I work through my August challenge: buy only perishables with the exception of one or maybe two items per week. We’ve got a bit of an overflow going on in our pantry and are fairly stocked up on meat and in our freezer so I think it’s doable!
I figured I’d bring everyone along for the ride. Here’s what my pantry looks like to start:
